Edward N. J. Gagne, 81, of
1201 W. 3rd St., died Sunday in
a Duluth hospital. Born in Du-
luth, he was a lifetime resident
of the city. Mr. Gagne was a
former employe of the Marine
Iron & Shipbuilding Co. He was
a member of the St. Jean Catholic
Parish and the Catholic Order of
Foresters. Surviving are four
daughters, Mrs. George Ordner,
Minneapolis; Mrs. Leo Reid, St.
Paul, and Mrs. Cecil Tomshack
and Mrs. Thomas Kinsman, both
of Duluth; two sons, Lionel and
Wilmer, both of Duluth; two
brothers, Arthur and Fred, both
of Duluth; seven sisters, Mrs.
Mary Lawrence, Thomson, Mrs.
Matilda Nephew, Mount Clem-
ens, Mich.; Mrs Zephrine
Michaels and Mrs. Rose Gier-
nett, both of Duluth; Mrs. Harry
Carrier, Rochester; Mrs. Ernest
Peterson, Bovey, and Mrs. Rich-
ard Dechene, Minneapolis; 11
gradchildren and 20 great-
grandchildren
