Note | Napoleon Paul Gagne and Mary Louise St. George were married around 1897 according to censuses. In the 1900 census they list having borne 2 children, but only one child was living with them, Napoleon, age 1 (almost 2, born July 1898). Given the first male was named Napoleon, and it was not uncommon for a first daughter to be named for the mother, and there is no other Louise among the living children, it seemed likely this was their child, especially since the baby was buried in the same cemetery as they both were. By 1910, they'd had 9 children, but only 6 living. |
