Margaret Frislie

Margaret Frislie, 91, of Caribou, rural Lancaster, MN, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, in LifeCare, Greenbush Manor in Greenbush, MN where she has lived since 2006.

She was born Mary Margaret Davis in 1917 at Glenville, MN. She lived in Holt, MN and later attended Moorhead Teachers College and taught school at several country schools in rural Greenbush, MN. She and her husband, George, lived and farmed in Caribou Township, Kittson County, where they raised their four children.

Margaret is survived by: daughter, Elizabeth (Mark) Karol of Roseau, MN; sons: Galen (Tereza) Frislie of Brooklyn Center, MN and Duane Frislie of Lancaster, MN; Son-in-law, Marlin Johnson of St. Francis, MN; five Grandchildren: Cheri (Mike) Anderson, Denise (Bruce) Chaffee, Michael (Michelle) Johnson, Julie Frislie and Susan (Matt) Bach; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George in 1975; daughter, Katherine Johnson, in May of 2009; and her brother, Bill.

Services: Friday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. in Oiland Lutheran Church of rural Greenbush.

Visitation: Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service in Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush, and one hour before services in the church on Friday.

Interment: Badger City Cemetery, Badger, MN.
